Harry Swims

Harry Boucher swims to create disability awareness. His eleven year old son who has cerebral palsy is his inspiration. Harry’s determination is impeccable. Harry who is an amputee understands what life is like having a disability but says people who use wheelchairs, walkers and other equipment have a much harder time being independent than he does. His favorite quote is right off the United Cerebral Palsy website; “For people with disabilities, the civil rights movement is not over…”

On Sunday July 12, 2015 Harry continues to push the movement when he swims across Lake Tahoe while towing his son in a kayak. His dream is to see parks, schools and other public areas accessible to all.
