Society for disABILITIES operates a thrift store in downtown Modesto. Recognizing the need for affordable clothing, furniture, and housewares items; the thrift store opened in November of 2010 at 1129 8th Street in downtown Modesto.
Not only does the store help the community with affordable merchandise, it helps generate a steady flow of income into the organization so we can increase our capacity, create sustainability, offset operating costs, increase programs, and provide job training for persons with and without disabilities.
Donations of housewares, furniture, clothing, toys and more are encouraged. Donations are tax-deductible and proceeds from sales go to Society for disABILITIES’ many programs and services for children and adults with diverse abilities in our community.
Come check out our Thrift Store and what we have to offer. We get donations on a regular basis and the available items are constantly changing.
Every day we honor active, former and retired Military personnel
Military personnel receive 20% off entire purchase, subject to verification
**In accordance with CDC guidelines, we ask that all customers socially distance themselves 6 feet apart while shopping in the store.**
We appreciate volunteers! If you’d like to help in our store as a Volunteer, please contact Alex: email@example.com.
